SUNNY LAB

I joined Sunny in 2023 as an Level Designer intern to work on The Witch's Bakery. The team appreciated my work and my qualities, and I was able to take on more responsibilities.

Responsabilities

  • Levels : Created 12 exploration levels from paper to integration

  • Quests : Scripted main and side quests

  • Systems : Designed key RPG systems

  • Design : Worked closely with the creative directors to design the Heart Palaces

My background is quite atypical: I first studied at a theater school, where I wrote and performed a play ; Later, I joined the Paris Fire Brigade ; I worked as an assistant manager in a restaurant, leading a small team. These experiences taught me autonomy, a strong sense of responsibilities, and the importance of teamwork.

During my theater studies, I discovered my passion for creating stories and worlds which led me to game design.

My first experience in the video game industry was QA tester for Symphonia, where I not only reported bugs but also provided design feedback and suggestions for improvement. I also had the opportunity to work on some level design tasks. This first experience outside of a student project made me realize the importance of level design.

Finally, I joined Sunny Lab as a Level Design intern, where I quickly took on more important responsibilities : designing RPG systems, scripting quests using a custom in-engine tool, developing the narratives means and working closely with the creative director to develop the Heart Palaces, special adventure levels central to the game's experience.
